Rural Road Safety Demonstration Project

The first section describes the purpose, structure and timing of the rural road safety demonstration project, which runs from 2007 – 2010. The following 4 documents are from each of the participating Local Highway Authorities (Devon, Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Northamptonshire County Councils) outlining the nature of their projects.

Mixed priority routes

The Mixed Priority Routes (MPR) Demonstration Project was launched in 2002 and shows how roads included in the scheme can be made safer and more pleasant for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists alike.
